DMLite is a plugin-based C++ framework that gives functionality for namespace management, pool management and i/o access.

This is at the heart of the DPM, LFC and Dynamic Federations projects, together with the other DPM backends and frontends.

The historical components that give support for legacy protocols in DPM instead keep their original implementation, in order to give exactly the same kind of service that legacy Grid applications expect.
